PINOCCHIO'S VIDEO

This is a brief (just under five minutes) but unique high quality VHS professionally produced video of Pady Blackwood and David Eaton introducing the marionette touring company "Puppet Celebration" to Central Florida. (Puppet Celebration, Inc. was founded in 1999 and is now doing business as Pinocchio's Marionette Theater.)

There is a great deal of visual, musical and spoken material in this well edited video. Pady and David are interviewed about the non-profit mission of Puppet Celebration, and Pady performs with his demonstration marionette, "Piccolo".

There are also scenes of the elaborate touring stage being completely set-up in time lapse photography - backstage clips of children and puppeteers interacting - brief clips from Puppet Celebration's productions of "Pinocchio!" and "Hansel and Gretel" - and more!

There are only a relative few of these shrink-wrapped videos left. They provide a rare visit with Pady Blackwood (the puppeteer for the New Howdy Doody show) plus a fun backstage look at a touring marionette company.

BE A PUPPETEER BOOKLET

In the 1980's Dave Eaton handcrafted custom marionettes for art shows. Each marionette included his ten-page booklet, "BE A PUPPETEER - A Beginner's Course in the Art of Puppetry". His marionettes were operated with the familiar "airplane" type control. Most commercial marionettes being made today use the same control or a simplified variation.
